Care Assistants are responsible for providing high quality care to residents of a care home. This includes providing personal care, assisting with daily activities, and providing companionship. Care Assistants also work with other members of the care team to create a safe and supportive environment for residents.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist residents with daily activities, such as eating, bathing, and using the toilet
• Provide companionship to residents, by talking to them, playing games, and reading to them
• Monitor residents’ health and well-being, and report any concerns to the care home manager
• Complete care documentation accurately and timely
• Work with other members of the care team to create a safe and supportive environment for residents
• Participate in training and development opportunities
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 in Care or working towards equivalent
• At least 3 months of experience working in a care home or similar setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle stress and work under pressure
• Compassionate and caring attitude
