The Care Home Manager is responsible for the overall management of a care home. This includes ensuring that the home meets all regulatory requirements, providing high quality care to residents, and creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and residents. The Care Home Manager also works with the regional director to develop and implement the home’s strategic plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the home meets all regulatory requirements, including CQC inspections
  • Provide high quality care to residents, in accordance with their individual needs and preferences
  • Create a safe and supportive environment for staff and residents
  • Develop and implement the home’s strategic plan, in consultation with the regional director
  • Manage the home’s budget and finances
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection of staff
  • Provide training and development opportunities for staff
  • Manage staff performance and conduct disciplinary procedures
  • liaise with residents’ families and carers
  • Represent the home to the local community
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 4 in Care Management or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a care home management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle stress and work under pressure
  • Compassionate and caring attitude
