The Care Home Manager is responsible for the overall management of a care home. This includes ensuring that the home meets all regulatory requirements, providing high quality care to residents, and creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and residents. The Care Home Manager also works with the regional director to develop and implement the home’s strategic plan.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the home meets all regulatory requirements, including CQC inspections
- Provide high quality care to residents, in accordance with their individual needs and preferences
- Create a safe and supportive environment for staff and residents
- Develop and implement the home’s strategic plan, in consultation with the regional director
- Manage the home’s budget and finances
- Oversee the recruitment and selection of staff
- Provide training and development opportunities for staff
- Manage staff performance and conduct disciplinary procedures
- liaise with residents’ families and carers
- Represent the home to the local community
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 4 in Care Management or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience working in a care home management role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle stress and work under pressure
- Compassionate and caring attitude
