Registered Nurses are responsible for providing high quality nursing care to residents of a care home. This includes providing personal care, administering medication, and monitoring residents’ health and well-being. Registered Nurses also work with other members of the care team to provide a holistic and supportive environment for residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication as prescribed by the doctor
- Monitor residents’ health and well-being, and report any concerns to the doctor or head of nursing
- Complete nursing documentation accurately and timely
- Work with other members of the care team to provide a holistic and supportive environment for residents
- Participate in training and development opportunities
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
- At least 2 years of experience working in a care home or hospital setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle stress and work under pressure
- Compassionate and caring attitude
